Marketing + Social Media Assistant
6 month FTC
Flexible hours between working from home and the venue (as required by the business)
Reporting to Brand Specialist and Venue Owner
You will be working with our brand specialist, primarily supporting the brand and content side as we ramp everything back up following the quiet spell of the pandemic. You do not need to have previous marketing experience but you need to be happy to manage the shop social media accounts, learn how to create graphics and implement our marketing strategy by creating assets and running online campaigns. You’ll need to be comfortable with creating copy as well as adept at picking up new technologies and capable of analysing data. You’ll be an effective communicator, enthusiastic team player, and comfortable doing research and developing your skills independently.
Your role at Playground
Working with the Brand Consultant & the Owner to create, upload and maintain website content (e.g. blogs, videos, photography etc.)
Updating menus and creating marketing and promotional collateral as required to assist the needs of this growing business
Assisting with, and eventually own the creation and building of marketing emails
Generate content for and monitoring Playground’s social media channels including videos, photography and animations
Reporting on the activity of emails, blogs and social channels
Creating content with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in mind and strictly following the branding guidelines as issued by the Brand Specialist and Venue Owner
Supporting on the shop floor as required and acquiring some entry level experience serving customers and assisting the coffee & bar management (circa 12.5 hours per week)
What you'll be doing
High level of fluency in both written and verbal English
Confident copywriting and editing skills
A good artistic eye
A love of coffee, games and cocktails - all products you will be promoting as part of this role
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Apps - particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro
Previous experience in a similar role, either as an intern or an employee
An interest in board games and tasty drinks!
